"...but hold your nose 'cause here comes the cold water.."
It isn't very auspicious starting a blog with plagarism. What can i say, forgive me Eminem, it seemed appropriate. In the case of this humble, fledgling blogger, the cold water comes as the fact that i wasn't a blogger till 6am local time. I'm averse to sharing my life with strangers. I have intimacy issues. Therefore, Amrika of Bangalore, India (that's me) shall be henceforth known as Maria Knows of Styx, Mythland (that's me as well). Amrika is demure, reserved, sweet, non-blogger. Maria on the other hand is loud, egregious, nasty, blogger.
That's enough descriptives for one morning. It's not too easy to bare one's soul and bad grammar to the strange cult of blog readers but i pledge to do my best.
I have begun this blog as part of my very own Experiments in Writing. I'm an unhardened writer with ideas that often lead nowhere. I am curious to find out if leaving my words open to critique will help with my problem(s).
What to expect in future blogs? Well, there will be snippets of conversation between my ego and alter ego, there'll be irreverent and extremely barbed pieces, there's bound to be a fair share of expletives and, perhaps, a touch of the absurd.

Ah, a new entrant to the ilk. You heeded my advice after all, or so i'd like to believe. Anyhoo, don't let your blog die a sorry death like some 'others'. I know I'm probably the last person who should be saying this, but keep posting.
P.S: What's with the word verification thingy? It's a real pain (I was asked to spell dufus- I hope that's just a coincidence.)
